Woman got 735,000 kroner in parking stalls

The woman Jenner Fitzgerald owes DKK 735,000 to a bizarre 678 parking stalls over 3 years.

Jenner Fitzgerald owes a total of 105,000 dollars corresponding to 735,000 kroner for 678 parking stalls because her car has been parked in the same place for three years.

The car, a Chevrolet Monte Carlo, was last seen by Fitzgerald when her ex-boyfriend had the keys to it. It has since emerged that he dumped it in an airport parking lot in Chicago.

The parking stall is the largest ever given to a motorist in Chicago. But Jenner Fitzgerald won't accept that. Just like she won't pay the fine in other cases.

Therefore, she has now sued both the city council, the airline that owns the parking space and the ex-boyfriend who left the car behind.

The BBC writes that.

And although the car was registered in Fitzgerald's name, she claims that she never had anything to do with the car. And that she is therefore not responsible for anything whatsoever with it. Nor the stalls.

The whole case then also ended in a settlement between the parties. At least between Jenner Fitzgerald and the city government of Chicago. The agreement meant that the city government had to settle for 4,500 dollars, equivalent to 31,500 Danish kroner.

The ex-boyfriend must pay the 1,600 dollars, while Fitzgerald himself had to pay the rest of the money in monthly instalments. Cheaply released – at least in relation to the starting point.

However, it is far from the first time that a parking lot has ended in a conflict. Just ask this Ford Focus owner. He had to pay a whopping 20,000 kroner because his car cast a shadow. Which all cars do. Nevertheless, the driver's complaint was dismissed. Read more about the matter here.
