Was closed by newts – motorway must give up opening this year

After three years of construction, Motorsport Center Fyn was ready in March 2020. Here, two years later, the facility must give up opening for the time being.

There is one protected salamander living in the area where Motorsport Center Fyn is located. Therefore, the otherwise newly constructed facility had to give up opening in 2020. In fact, the area has been quiet since December of that year. You have, say the people behind, become part of the 'system'. Motorsport Center Fyn had otherwise hoped to be able to open around the summer holidays. But no. A new local plan and environmental approval must be drawn up before the facility can be put into use. The organization states this in a video on Facebook and on its website. – Things take the time they take. And we can't really do much about it. But conversely, we also hope that we will have a really good 2023, says the video. However, Motorsport Center Fyn accepts that there must also be room for wildlife – and everyone else – with great composure. They have even made it part of their slogan. The people behind it even believe that the course has actually improved after the course has been adjusted. Among other things, the course's very large right turn is now divided into a right, a left and another right turn. This makes for some terrain differences, but Motorsport Center Fyn believes that it will be really exciting to race on. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=3269858723337606
