Want to go to Denmark – now the car brand is changing its name

The Chinese car brand Seres, which should actually have been in Denmark already, will change its name to Aito from 2025.

From 2025, Seres, which should actually already have been in Denmark, will get a new name. From the turn of the year, the Chinese brand is called Aito.

This is written by the Norwegian car industry site, Bilnytt .

According to Autoisme boss Frode Skaar-Ottesen, the name change will not take effect until the end of 2025 in Norway, where Seres is already present.

He explains that the importer plans to take time to implement the new name.

Aito has already been used as a designation for these cars in China for some time. Since 2023, it has been the official name for all cars in the model range. The Seres name was originally used for the export models, but now the name difference is over.

Specifically, however, the name change is due to the fact that Seres has acquired the rights to the Aito name from the scandal-ridden Huawei. It happened during the summer.

According to the Road Traffic Council, 385 cars with Seres' brands and logos have so far been registered in Norway. All of those cars have been sold in the course of 2023 and 2024. Not a single Seres has yet been registered here. The name also does not appear on the sales lists of the Danish car importers, who now call themselves 'Mobility Denmark'.

According to FDM, KW Bruun, which has recently sold its entire business abroad, will be responsible for the import of Seres/Aito in Denmark. The importer already imports the Chinese brands Hongqi and Voyah.
