Zeekr, which should have been in Denmark during the spring, has exploded in Russia without being present in the country.
The Chinese car brand Zeekr, which is related to Volvo, is experiencing strong growth in Russia. And that even though the brand is not present in the country.
Not officially, anyway. Reuters writes that.
At the expense of the Western car brands that have fled Russia, the Geely group has more than tripled its sales in the country. But that has nothing to do with Zeekr. Not even if the brand apparently 'has' a Russian website.
– The Russian website you are referring to is not operated by Zeekr.

– Zeekr has not entered the Russian market, nor does Zeekr have an officially approved dealer network or sales channel in Russia.
– The few cars that can be seen on the Russian market are due to individual behavior, says Gunilla Gustavs, who is responsible for communications at Zeekr Technology Europe, to Vi Bilägare.
There are indications, however, that the average Russian is pretty tired of only being able to choose between Chinese and Russian car brands when the car deal goes through the official channels.
Back in March, Boosted could tell that 9 out of 10 new cars in Russia are now from Chinese brands or built under license from China. It is also known that a car brand from the time of the Soviet Union has just been resurrected. Read more about it here .
At home, Zeekr said in connection with the eCarExpo in Copenhagen in autumn 2023 that it would be in place in Denmark during the coming spring. Nothing just ever happened. However, the cars are already being sold in Sweden and the Netherlands.
