Toyota's fool is spreading – has cheated with European cars

Toyota has already admitted cheating with crash tests of a large number of cars for the Japanese market. Now it turns out that this also applies to cars in Europe.

The top Toyota recently had to bend its neck deeply and admit cheating with a large number of crash tests and safety certifications in Japanese car models.

However, the brand has repeatedly denied that the fraud has also affected cars that have been sent to the European market. But it now turns out to be logn.

Japan's Transport Ministry now confirms to the country's largest newspaper Yomiuri that it has found six cases of cheating at Toyota, which not only violate national legislation.

– It is highly likely that it will also be considered fraud in Europe, says the ministry, according to the newspaper.

Specifically, the Japanese authorities have assessed that Toyota has violated some UN standardized rules to which 62 countries – including Denmark and Sweden – have signed.

The six crash test results Toyota is said to have fudged relate to frontal impacts, protection of pedestrians' heads and legs, rear impacts and impacts from the engine itself in the event of a collision.

In some cases, however, Toyota's cars must have passed the various crash tests based on a stricter than necessary set of rules. A total of 38 car models from Toyota, Lexus, Honda and Mazda are believed to have been affected by the fraud.
