The crash test scandal in which Toyota has embroiled itself continues to grow. Now it turns out that the Japanese have cheated with several cars.
Toyota's cheating with the certification of cars in connection with crash tests is even more extensive than first thought.
Now it turns out that the Japanese have manipulated data from a further 7 car models to get them safety approved. This also applies to cars sold outside of Japan.
Six of the models must be safety certified in Great Britain and Belgium, where Euro NCAP has its headquarters.

Both Reuters and CNN also write that six out of seven models, which are now also part of the scandal, are certified outside of Japan. According to the media, these are models such as: Toyota RAV4, the new Lexus LM, Toyota Noah and Voxy.
A further three models have also been cheated on. But these cars have gone out of production, it says.
– We have found several cases of deliberate cheating, says Hirohisa Tsuruta, a high-ranking official in the Japanese ministry responsible for car certification, to Kyodonews.
When Toyota's scam first became public knowledge, it involved the manipulation of a total of 38 car models. In this connection, Honda and Mazda have also been exposed in similar fraud.
As soon as the cheating was discovered, the Japanese government demanded that "Toyota take drastic measures to ensure that the cars meet the certification processes."
Compared with emissions cheating from, among other things Toyota's subsidiary, the truck manufacturer Hino, chairman of the board Akio Toyoda is now speaking openly about the fact that support for him is crumbling away. Read more about it here .
Toyota is far from being the only car brand that cheats. A large number of European brands do the same. For example, BMW has recently been fined for cheating with 155,000 diesel cars in Germany.
