A Mercedes with high mileage is not unusual. But the US importer is still ready to go the extra mile for the owners, who keep the cars alive after 250,000 kilometres.
Mercedes in the US has found a way to reward their customers for loyalty. Because even though everyone can watch, it is 'for US citizens only'. Unfortunately.
So what are we talking about. Yes, the importer would like to pay tribute to those who go the extra mile in the brand's models.
This application form can be downloaded from the brand's website. The Mercedes owners just need to fill in information about themselves and their cars. And most importantly which emblem the car is entitled to. It's all about the mileage.
There are emblems for 250,000, 500,000, 750,000 or one million kilometers. You can even tick off a million miles, which is roughly 1.6 million kilometers.
The form must then be verified and signed by a Mercedes dealer, who in turn will sign off with a small box. In it, Mercedes owners will not only find a letter and certificate. But also the coveted price.

The emblem itself is placed in the grille itself, so that everyone can see that your Mercedes is a real mileage smasher. That is, if you live in the USA. Unfortunately, this kind of thing is not something that Mercedes does for the European customers. Still, the emblem is to be approached on this side of the Atlantic.
If you, as a European, would like some recognition for the short kilometers your Mercedes has travelled, you can pat yourself on the back by buying a so-called 'High Milage Award' on Ebay. They are not cheap. Most copies are for sale for around 150 to 300 euros. This corresponds to somewhere between 1,026 and 2,056 Danish kroner.
Very much speaking of Mercedes models with very high mileage, this older taxi cruising around Grand Canaria is nothing short of impressive. The oil is changed every single week. But can you guess the mileage?
