Got a car from the 1980s hanging around? Yes, maybe now is the time to make a good deal by putting it up for sale. This is shown by a report from Auto Week.
You don't necessarily have the gold teams in the garage. Cars are rarely a good investment. And so anyway. Because some cars from the 1980s have increased dramatically in value.

The media has made a list of the 10 cars from the 1980s, which have increased in value the most since 2018. And at least in terms of percentage, there is not much to catch up on.
Some of the cars have increased by more than 120 of their own value in just handful of years plus the loose side. For others, the increase is more modest. But in the vast majority of cases, we are talking about cars that have become worth 100 percent more in just 6 years.
- BMW E34 530i – built between 1988 and 1990.
The car has 188 horsepower with its 3-liter inline six. Or at least that was the goal from the factory. It is not certain that this is the case today. Conversely, since 2018, the value has increased by 140 percent for the finest specimens. - BMW E32 730i – built between 1987 and 1994
A real Chancellor's car. And although the 730 was actually at least the E32 7 with its three-liter inline six and 188 horsepower. The best specimens are worth 122 percent more today. - Honda CRX 1.6i – built between 1987 and 1991
In six years, the bad Japanese has increased by a whopping 119 percent in value. The finest examples now cost from DKK 92,000 (when tax is deducted).

Earlier this year, the man behind the original baby Benz died. In addition to family and friends, Bruno Saco has left behind several icons in the world of cars. Blue. The 190 which just keeps increasing in value. In six years, the increase has continued upward with 106 percent. - Audi 100 Avant – built from 1986 to 1988
One of the cars on Auto Week's list that has risen the least in price is the Audi 100 as an Avant. Or station wagon as the rest of us would say. Still, it has turned into an increase of 92 percent since 2018. - Mercedes-Benz G-Class – built from 1979 to 1982
The first G-Classes in civilian clothes are perhaps quite a chopping board of rank to sing in. But that has not caused the popularity to wane. On the contrary, a model like the G230 has increased by 90 percent. - Audi 90 – built from 1987 to 1990
The second Audi on this list is perhaps a little surprising the 90 model. Nevertheless, the model boasts a 90 percent increase in value. - Mitsubishi Galant – built from 1988 to 1990
The Galant is one of the few non-Mercedes models that AMG managed to throw themselves at, because they were completely absorbed by Mercedes. If you can find a nice copy today, you should generally expect to pay 80 percent more than just 6 years ago. - Ford Escort XR3i – built from 1986 to 1989
Once the Escort model was on every street corner – also in Denmark. Since then, however, there has been a really long distance between them. Especially the finer specimens. And that is reflected in the price. If you can find a nice XR3i edition, you have to pay 79 percent more than 6 years ago. - Volkswagen Golf II GTI 16V – built from 1986 to 1988
The classic Golf GTI is still close to affordable. But you need to have more of them in your pocket. In 2018, a nice Golf II GTI could be brought home for DKK 68,000 without tax. You can put a 76 percent increase on top of that now.
