The world's most used Bugatti Veyron can be yours

Apart from Bugatti's own test cars, we have not been able to find other Veyron models with as high mileage as this car, which is kept in the Netherlands.

That may not sound like much, but in Bugatti terms, we're talking about crazy distances.

In any case, the Boosted editorial team has not been able to find a Bugatti Veyron that has been around for a little longer than this white example from 2009.

According to the ad, the car is currently at Bugatti Rotterdam, with a price tag of 2.2 million euros, equivalent to 16.4 million kroner.

And yes, that's a lot of money. But when the car doesn't cost more than that anyway, the explanation is probably to be found in the mileage.

The car, which arrived in the Netherlands in 2024, can actually still be driven for a good number of kilometers, if the economy allows it.

It is well used – in Bugatti terms.

Because even though the car has a for sale sign in the windshield, the 8-liter W16 with its four twin turbos is still a rental. And it's not a small amount of money that the lessor is paying for it with.

For example, an hour with unlimited mileage costs 2,000 euros, equivalent to just under 15,000 kroner. To this you must add 500 euros for insurance. It will be twice as expensive if the car is going abroad.

A day with unlimited mileage costs 20,000 euros, and if you want to have the car over a weekend, the pleasure goes up to 30,000 euros. But then you also have to return the car on Sunday at 6 pm – that is, at the latest.

And then there's the deposit to consider. A regular hourly rental requires a deposit of 10,000 euros. 24 hours in the wild car with 1,001 horsepower runs up to 25,000 euros. That's just the deposit.

But you can also just buy the car right now. But then you have to live with the fact that the car already has a short 34,000 kilometers.

That might be peanuts for almost any other car. But in Bugatti's case, it's an enormously long distance. Maybe because changing all the car's fluids costs a staggering 20,000 euros.

And then there are the tires. Because they have to withstand such dizzying speeds (the regular Veyron has a top speed of 408 km/h, ed.), Bugatti recommends that you change the rubber regularly.

That interval is every two years regardless of the kilometers during that time. Price 35,000 euros or 261,000 kroner. And then there are the rims. The factory in Moselheim wants to change them every 16,000 kilometers. It costs 'only' 46,000 euros.
