The world's most expensive electric car gets 2,107 horsepower

Rimac is not sure they will even build electric cars again. But the one they have, the Nevera R, is the world's most expensive electric car.

Rimac Nevera has not been a commercial success. In fact, the car brand's founder admits that it is not certain that they will continue to make electric cars.

But it may be that a Nevera R saves just a little of the glory. In any case, the Croatians showed a Nevera R in connection with the Monterey Car Week in California.

The Nevera R, which is the world's most expensive electric car, gets 2,107 horsepower and a little less weight to lug around. Blue. because the battery pack has shrunk to 108 kWh from 120 kWh. Even so, the car still weighs 2,277 kilos.

Rimac himself says that the Nevera R is an even tougher and more focused field weapon than the 'regular' Nevera. Mind you, the Nevera is already a car that goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.81 seconds.

Like its sister model, the top speed of the Nevera R is limited to 350 km/h. But for a fee, Rimac raises it to 412 km/h.

Only 40 copies of the new car will be built. Perhaps because Rimac is having more than a hard time finding buyers for the 150 electric cars they have already said they want to build.

Conversely, the Croatians are not the only ones backing down when it comes to electric cars. The same is the case among the brands that build completely ordinary cars. Most recently, Audi has announced that you cannot do without the internal combustion engine in 2033 after all.

However, there are also those who believe in the idea of a supercar powered solely by electricity. Ferrari promises something of a bang when the people from Maranello are ready with their bid for an electric car in 2025. It will be – like everything else from that side – hideously expensive. Read more about it here .

Rimac Nevera R will be the world's most expensive electric car. It is expected that the price will start at 2.2 million dollars corresponding to 14.88 million. With the right ticks on the list of optional equipment, the price easily continues to 3 million dollars.
