The Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer takes the title of Denmark's best company car

For the second year in a row, the Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer wins the award as Business Car of the Year, chosen by Business Danmark and Jyllands-Posten.

The Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer has been named Business Car of the Year 2025, which is the second time the model has received this title.

Business Danmark and Jyllands-Posten have again chosen the ID.7 Tourer after a thorough test of 11 cars. The model was highly rated for its reach and the spacious design, which is suitable for both work use and longer trips.

A jury consisting of company drivers and motoring journalists was responsible for choosing the car of the year. After two days of testing, all twelve jury members ended up pointing to the ID.7 Tourer as the winner among the 11 participating models.

The fact that everyone in the jury agreed with the choice underlines the car's adaptation to the company car market.

The ID.7 was first introduced in Denmark in December 2023 and has since had several versions in the model range, including the Tourer estate car variant.

The car, equipped with a 286 hp engine and a battery capacity of 86 kWh, offers a range of up to 680 km. Volkswagen presented this model for the Business Car of the Year award in the Style S edition.

Behind the award are Business Danmark and Jyllands-Posten, which each year put together a jury consisting of drivers from the business world as well as journalists and a physiotherapist. The criteria that the jury judged on include, among other things, comfort, practicality and features that appeal to business users.

Lars Bundgaard, who represents Business Denmark, explains that the ID.7 Tourer manages to combine the qualities that company drivers value with an electric drive.

The Danish car editor Christian Schacht, who is also part of the jury, assessed that the ID.7 Tourer delivers a comfortable driving experience and offers a practical solution for the company car.

The model has a reasonable range, and the Style edition is particularly highlighted for its ergonomic seats and the adaptive undercarriage, which makes longer trips comfortable.

In Denmark, the ID.7 has sold around 1,500 units and is at the top of the segment for mid-range electric cars. The model is offered both as a hatchback and a station wagon with prices from DKK 431,995. in the hatchback version and from DKK 446,995. for the station wagon model.

Volkswagen offers several variants of the ID.7, including a GTX version with two electric motors and four-wheel drive.

The Business Car of the Year award is an annual event where Business Danmark and Jyllands-Posten evaluate the newest cars on the market.

This year, the ID.7 Tourer competed in a field of other electric cars, including the Audi Q4 e-tron, BYD Seal and Tesla Model Y, and thus fared best among the competition.
