The speed cameras on the Storebæltsbroen are still not working

None of the speed cameras on the Storebæltsbroen's new section control work. It has been that way ever since they were put into use in January.

The police have still not issued a single speed ticket on the Storebæltsbroen. At least not with the help of the new line control.

The new system was otherwise put into use in January. But it works so badly that the employees on the bridge have to manually peel off the photos of the speeding offenders and send them on to the police.

But now it turns out that the photos are still so bad that the police can't use them. This is written by TV2 Fyn .

This is now more due to the fact that Sund og Bælt, which is responsible for the operation of the bridge and thus also the new speed cameras, has stopped sending any material to the police.

Sydsjælland and Lolland-Falster's Police confirm this to the media in a written response. At Sund og Bælt, they try to excuse themselves by saying that the authorities have apparently agreed on 'another unloading'.

Allegedly, the police and the Ministry of Transport want a permanent speed control on Storebælt, but that does not make Sund og Bælt stop their speed control, reads the written response.

But barking too hard on the bridge still has no consequences. The poor quality images do not pass on to the police.

However, there is another place where they can find out how to beat speeders. On a certain stretch, the same three speed cameras flashed as many as 34,000 motorists. Read more about it here .
