The Road Directorate refuses to acknowledge faults on the Lillebæltsbroen

They were absolutely sure that it did not disturb the traffic with road work on both Little Belt Bridges at the same time. So now the Road Directorate denies having made a mistake.

It was not a mistake to start road work on both Little Belt Bridges at the same time.

In any case, the Road Directorate will not recognize that. Even though the Road Directorate created long queues in both places. So long that the road work on the old Lillebæltsbro has now been stopped.

This is written by DR .

Project manager in the Road Directorate, Jens Præst, says that they had not taken into account that their disturbances would create very long queues. But it is not a mistake.

– No, I won't say that. But we have to be very careful about working on both bridges at the same time, says the project manager.

At the same time, Jens Præst tries to shift part of the blame for the problem onto the drivers. Or rather, their reaction to the roadworks.

– The motorists' reaction actually surprised us, says the project manager.

On the other hand, the Directorate of Roads could perhaps have simply investigated the fact that their strategy would create chaos and massive queues. The internet is almost overflowing with stories about cocoa chaos due to road works.

In August last year, Helsingor Dagblad was able to tell about how motorists were shouting at each other, all because of roadworks in Espergærde.

However, there are drivers who complain more than others. Actually twice as much. It reveals an investigation. Read more about it here .
