The municipality says no – refuses to stop chasing motorists

The citizens and businesses in Ringsted are otherwise well fed up with parking attendants who lie in wait to issue charges. But a majority in the city council refuses to terminate cooperation with parking company.

The company P-Nord will not be kicked out of Ringsted. At least not by the politicians.

A majority of the city council has decided to continue the collaboration with the company, so that parking fees can continue to be issued in the city.

This is written by TV2 Øst .

– In March last year, we dealt with a similar case, which also resulted in the termination of the collaboration with P-Nord.

– At the time, we considered that there was nothing new in the case. I don't think that is the case today either, so I suggest that we reject the case, said Mayor Klaus Hansen (V) to the media.

Both the traders and business operators in Ringsted are otherwise well fed up with P-Nord's methods. Many believe that the parking attendants are definitely lying in wait for motorists.

The business association Ringsted City otherwise believes that there is plenty to catch up on when it comes to parking in the city. And especially when it comes to P-Nord's handling of them.

Both the chairman Claus Bedemann and the motorists themselves are followed by the traffic wardens. It is, among other things, a big problem is that motorists are only allowed to park for one hour in the city centre.

On the other hand, Ringsted is not the only city in Denmark that does a lot to drive drivers away. And preferably completely out of town.

Similar obstacles are put in the way of motorists in both Odense and Copenhagen. However, the former city has dropped the introduction of a particularly strict zone. Read more about it here .
