The most expensive Pagani ever has just been sold at auction. The extremely rare Zonda model is from 2014, but that made no difference to the price.
The world's most expensive Pagani Zonda has just been sold at auction at RM Sotheby's. It concerns a Zonda 760 LM Roadster from 2014, which went for 80 million Danish kroner. The sale price makes this model the most expensive Pagani ever sold at auction.
This Zonda model is one of the rarest in the brand's history. It is based on the original Zonda models, which were produced in limited numbers between 1999 and 2011.
A total of 140 copies of the Zonda were built. But the 760 LM Roadster is a special edition with unique design features. Among other things, the car has a distinctive spoiler and headlights that are encased in glass, which gives the car a characteristic Le Mans-inspired appearance.
Despite its exclusivity, this car has not been tucked away as a collector's item. It has been in active use and has almost 3,000 kilometers on it, which is unusual for cars of this caliber.
The now former owner has used the car to participate in events and short trips around Europe. It is not known whether life as a 'used supercar' has affected the price. But it was expensive.
