The new Lotus Emeya may not be the world's fastest car from 0 to 100 km/h. But at a charging stand, no one can imitate the Chinese art.
If you want an electric car that really packs a punch when it comes to fast charging, a new Lotus Emeya is the money to spend on.
According to a test carried out by the analysis company P3, the car, which will be on the market later this year, can charge its battery from 10 to 80 percent current in 14 minutes.
Maintained, it's still significantly slower than a petrol/diesel car can be refueled, but it's a record for EVs nonetheless.
However, it is not only at the charging station that the new Lotus is fast. It is also when it goes right. The discipline from 0 to 100 km/h takes 2.8 seconds. However, the top speed is electronically limited to 256 km/h.

But the acceleration can be done because Lotus, which is owned by Volvo's parent company Geely, equips the Emeya with two engines that together produce 905 horsepower and 985 Nm.
Officially, there is no Danish price for the four-door Emeya. At least not yet. But we can still get an idea of the level. The Danish importer wants DKK 987,510 for the sister car Eletre, which is an electric SUV.
Now that we are at it with electric cars, there are many indications that the Danish government is on its way with another handout to the owners. In any case, Tax Minister Jeppe Bruus (S) wants to have more electric cars on the roads by 2030. And that is why he is willing to 'look at the rules'. Read more about it here .
