It's actually a picnic bag. But it has to look like a designer handbag. Whether DS customers will pay up to DKK 38,000 for this kind of thing is another question.
DS was reborn as a Citroën brand in 2009. Only to become its own DS Automobiles under the then PSA Group in 2014.
Today, there are four models on the program, of which only two are available in Denmark. And that without a single dealer on Zealand or Bornholm. Only Funen and Jutland have so-called DS Stores.
Well, that's another conversation. Former Citroën brand DS Automobiles wants to cement its position as 'the French's answer to Rolls-Royce'.
Therefore, in collaboration with the oldest picnic table maker (yes, that kind exists) they are now launching a picnic set for a staggering 5,000 euros. This corresponds to just under DKK 38,000.

But then there is also enough for four people to go on a picnic together, DS promises. Just as the car brand promises that there is room for so much food that four people can be satisfied.
The buyers must provide the food themselves. But the manufacturer La Malle Bernard takes care of the rest. This means knives, a cutting board made of walnut wood and salt and pepper shakers. Just as special spoons, thermos bottles and the same for your preferred oil/vinegar have been thought of.
It is not the first time that a car brand has ventured into something that smells like food. Volkswagen is so successful at actually cooking that the Germans outsell it far more than actual cars. Read more about it here .
