Tune It! Safe is again part of the Essen Motor Show this year. The 2024 version of a hardcore police car takes the form of a BMW M2 with 560 horsepower.
The latest bottling of the BMW M2 might not be the world's prettiest. But now the German tuner has turned it into a police car with 560 horsepower.
The Essen Motor Show wouldn't be itself without Tune It! The Safe campaign. Every year a tuned police car appears. This year it is the BMW M2.
In the hands of AC Schnitzer, the M division's smallest car has had its output raised to a total of 560 horsepower and 650 Nm.
By comparison, the factory car makes do with 480 horsepower from a 3-liter straight six with twin turbos.
To keep the M2 on the road, the famous BMW tuner has sacrificed a new threaded chassis on the car. It lowers it by 25 millimeters at the front and 35 millimeters at the rear.

Alloy wheels called AC4 help keep the amount of unsprung weight down. While there is still room for 20" in the front and 21" on the rear axle. It all swung in the Hankook Ventus S1 evo 3.
Changes to the M2 mean that it sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, shoots a top speed of 285 kilometers per hour… and, unfortunately, will not be made in more than this one copy.
On the other hand, you can enjoy Tune It! Safe's long history. This means that everything from the Porsche 911 to the Mercedes CLS in Brabus trim has had an overhaul. The electric ID.Buzz actually has the same.
