That's how little water it takes to completely damage a Tesla Cybertruck

A bit of fresh water has officially done away with one of the almost 12,000 Tesla Cybertrucks that have yet been built, new pictures from the wrecker show.

The Tesla Cybertruck rolled out on the roads last year. But the first copies have already been sent for scrapping.

It shows a number of images from the online portal IAAI , which sells the scrap cars on. Until recently, two Cybertrucks were stationed here.

And at least one of them doesn't seem to have come to anything. As in at all. Nevertheless, the car has been declared a total loss.

The explanation? It has stood in fresh water until slightly above the panel. However, there is no indication that water has penetrated the car. It is simply marked where the water has stood.

It is not related to the fact that the car has a so-called "wader mode" and that Elon Musk claims that the car can practically swim. Or at least used as a boat.

Conversely, an electric car that has only once been 'attacked' or at least surrounded by water sounds like a risky investment to say the least. The insurance company has not dared to do anything other than declare the car, which otherwise has only 42 kilometers on it, as a total loss.

The other Cybertruck at IAAI is a somewhat more obvious total damage. The car, which no longer has the gray stainless steel colour, but covered with matt black foil, has been given a proper print in the front.

A look into the matte black car also reveals that the collision was strong enough to trigger all the front airbags. OUCH!

Both cars have already cost fortunes to write off as total losses. Among other things, because of their price and – according to Tesla at least – enormously difficult manufacturing process.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk claims that the brand, with production in top gear, will be able to build a quarter of a million Cybertrucks every year. Cars Tesla as minium take 82,000 dollars for. This corresponds to DKK 572,000.
