That's how cheap the Tesla Cybercab will be without steering wheel and pedals

Tesla has unveiled the brand's new electric car – the Tesla Cybercab. It has neither a steering wheel nor pedals and is only to be used as a taxi for free.

Very early Friday morning Danish time, Tesla unveiled its new Cybercab – a forerlos taxi. Now we also know what it will cost.

The presentation of the car, which has neither steering wheel nor pedals, was also more reminiscent of a party than an actual premiere of a new car.

According to Tesla, there is room for 2 people in a Cybercab, and both passengers must be able to take a nap in the car in order to wake up refreshed when the car arrives at the destination. Tesla emphasized that the brand is serious about self-driving technology by having 20 Cybercabs on stage.

And director Elon Musk has no doubt that it will all be cheap entertainment. In fact, down to one twentieth of what a bus ticket costs today.

– It will start singing in California and Texas next year. By 2027, if we must say so, Musk said.

However, he admitted that he also tends to be optimistic when it comes to time horizons.

– We want to see autonomous cars become 10 times as safe as humans. Once there were even elevator operators. Today we have automatic elevators. That's how it is with cars. It will save both lives and cars, says Elon Musk.

For those who are going to invest in a Tesla Cybercab, the brand announces that they are looking for a starting price below 30,000 dollars, equivalent to 204,000 kroner. Blue. because the car is not equipped with any charging socket.

Instead, the car must have current on the battery via inductive charging. In other words, a charging that takes place by the car driving over a point that charges wirelessly.

In addition to the Cybercab, Tesla also presented a Tesla Robovan. The concept should resemble a bus that has room for 20 people.

– We want to change the way it looks on the roads, the future must look like the future, says Elon Musk.
