The dispute concerning waste water from Tesla's factory on the outskirts of Berlin is intensifying. And now Tesla is threatening to stop production.
In the German town of Grünheide, citizens are very much against Tesla's desire to expand the brand's factory. At the same time, the utility company complains about the amount of waste water from the factory.
But now there are many indications that Tesla has had enough. In any case, the brand is now directly threatening to stop production.
This appears from a letter that the car brand has sent to the supply company. This is written by Automobilwoche .
– You are aware that stopping the discharge of the Gigafactory's waste water will mean a stop to production at the Gigafactory.

– Such a decision (to stop production, ed.) causes economic damage worth millions of dollars every day, the letter states.
However, it is not only from the local population that an expansion of Tesla's German factory faces resistance. This week, according to several German media, 80 activists occupied a forest near the factory.
The activists themselves say that they have only one goal with their action. Namely, getting Tesla to drop the expansion plans.
Plans which the activists believe will go beyond the environment, because an expansion of the factory i.a. will mean the clearing of forest areas.
