Tesla recalls 200,000 cars because they are "on strike"

There are errors in Tesla's software. And that means that the rear camera in some Model S, X and Y refuses to work. In other words, they are "on strike".

It's not just striking mechanics and angry Swedish unions that Tesla is fighting at the moment. There are also internal problems of a completely different nature.

Compared to the multimillion-dollar recall imposed by the authorities last year, this case is far more affordable. Read more about it here .

Nevertheless, the problem is a big nuisance for the owners. In 200,000 Teslas, there may be problems with the software that controls the rear camera.

That is what NBC News writes.

In fact, the camera shows no image at all. In other words, the owners of the affected cars cannot see what is going on behind their cars.

According to Tesla itself, the problem is limited to the Model S, Model Y and Model X, built last year and shipped to the US market.

Specifically, there is something wrong with the software in the computer for the self-driving technology that Tesla builds into the brand's cars. No cars older than them or the Model 3 are known to be affected.

In fact, Tesla believes it has already solved the problem with the software, and an update – which will patch the hole in the flawed update – is on its way to owners, it says.

However, Tesla says at the same time that it has so far received 81 complaints about the problem, but that the problem has not yet resulted in traffic accidents or fatalities.
