Tesla owners blame their cars for curb skimming

Smashing a rim against a curb is never nice. It hurts the pride. Unless you're a Tesla owner, because then it's the car's fault.

A number of Tesla owners are now whining about the latest update for their cars. So for cars that Tesla says are 'self-driving'.

The owners of the cars believe that the cars keep hitting curbs all by themselves. And that it goes beyond the rims to that extent.

This is what InsideEVs writes on the basis of a series of posts on social media from 'frustrated' motorists. The drivers say that the Teslas' driving is costing them thousands of dollars in new tires and rims.

On the social media "X", which Tesla director Elon Musk actually also owns, driver Aaron Jackson, among others, writes that his third trip with the 'fully autonomous' system turned on was a disaster.

He – or the car – came too close to a curb. And the rim paid for it. "I don't trust the FSD system anymore", says Aaron Jackson.

Back in March, Tesla offered all drivers in cars with the technology that they could try the self-driving software for free for one month. Something that many Tesla owners have otherwise paid huge sums to have their cars equipped with.

Here at home, what Tesla Denmark calls completely self-sufficient properties costs almost DKK 60,000 to equip a Model S, 3, X and Y with.

On the other hand, as far as is known, there are also no Danish Tesla owners who have yet wanted to state publicly that the car *cough* – they themselves – have curled one or more rims.
