Tesla now has self-service test drives in Denmark

Now you can get close to Tesla without Tesla. That is, without a Tesla employee breathing down his neck. The contactless trial carousels are also coming to Denmark.

Tesla now offers Danish motorists test drives in a completely new way. Namely, without any physical contact with a Tesla employee. With over 160 locations in Europe and the Middle East, including several in Denmark, those interested can experience the Model 3 and Model Y for themselves.

The test drive can easily be booked online via Tesla's website or the Tesla app. After booking, the customer receives a confirmation with information about the test drive and is contacted by a Tesla advisor who answers any questions.

On the day itself, the Tesla app guides the customer through the process. The car is found, unlocked and started via the app. A guide is then displayed on the car's touch screen to help set the car as required. Should questions arise along the way, a Tesla advisor can be contacted by phone via the app.

"At any point during the agreement, a Tesla Advisor can be contacted by phone through the Tesla app for assistance."

After the test drive, the car is simply parked in the original spot and locked via the app.

It is as easy as it sounds, writes Tesla's press officer for the Nordics, Maria Lentz.

Tesla uses technology to remove the traditional elements of a test drive at a dealership. The focus is instead solely on the car and the experience. The customer can explore the Model 3 and Model Y at their own pace, both of which offer a spacious interior, user-friendly functions and core features.

In Denmark, there are currently self-service trial tour locations in Næstved, Sonderborg, Thisted and Glostrup. More cities are expected to be added in the course of the year.

"They help make it possible for people who normally live far from one of our Tesla Centers to experience Tesla at a time and place that suits them."

Tesla is open to suggestions for new locations and partners to further expand the self-service test drives.
