Tesla hit by a new problem on the Danish market

After an unprecedented dominance of the Danish car market in 2023, Tesla has again received competition. It shows a new settlement.

Tesla may not have dominated the entire Danish car market last year, but the American electric car manufacturer was, for example, far ahead of Volkswagen.

For 12 years in a row, the Wolfsburg brand was the Danes' favorite. But now new players have entered the market.

This is written by Finance , which refers to a settlement from Bilbasen.

Here you can see that Tesla is clearly losing ground. In the first months of 2023, Tesla was sitting on 34 percent of the market for used electric cars, but it has now shrunk to 19 percent.

One of the reasons must be found in Tesla's competitors. Among other things, the VAG group has sent facelifted versions of the sister cars Volkswagen ID.4 and Skoda Enyaq onto the street.

And it can be seen in the sales figures. In February this year, the Skoda Enyaq was thus on par with the Tesla Model Y in popularity among Danish car buyers.

The fact that the competitors have gained more speed and a better grip on the electric car market can be really bad news for Tesla in several ways.

Among other things, because after several cuts in the price of the brand's models, the dealers hold back strongly with investments.

On the other hand, a brand like Toyota believes that there is no market for used electric cars at all. Read more about how it is connected here .
