Sweden will ban the very special choir card rule

In Sweden, it is possible to skip a choir teacher. However, this requires a special approval. That approval must be approved now, the Transport Agency thinks.

The Swedes must not just take their choir card earlier than the Danes. They also have to do it on their own. The special rule is called 'private' choir lessons.

But now the country's transport agency wants to make that rule more difficult by making more teaching with an actual choir teacher mandatory

The agency writes this in a press release .

– It's about creating a choir training where the future drivers get better support during the training, and where it is clear that you have to pass a test when you are ready, says Josefin Hallenberg.

Right now it is the case that motorists who choose to take a 'private' correcard can make do with carrying out a so-called approval.

The approval ensures that a so-called supervisor, who must guide the driver in driving, receives three hours of instruction. The course is called introductory teaching. In addition, the driver who takes out a driver's license must pass a general health check by a doctor.

At home, the SVM government is also planning to tighten the rules in the choir card area. Especially for the youngest drivers who are now subject to even more bans.

At the same time, the EU generally wishes to change the union's driving license rules, which have otherwise been the same since 2006. The EU had to drop banning young drivers from driving at night. Something the Danish government has otherwise proposed. Read more about it here .
