Stunt choirs in world record – hung on to the MC with 257 km/h

In a completely crazy world record attempt, a British stunt rider hooked onto the back of a motorcycle at 257 km/h – with only his hands.

The British stunt choir Jonny Davies has put his life on the line. In return, he has secured several world records.

At 180 km/h, he climbed off the motorcycle only to hold on to it with his hands, and then he just let the machine drag on. All the way up to 257 km/h.

No other motorcycle choir has done that. At least not as fast. The old record is from 1999. At that time Jonny Davies was 7 years old.

A quarter of a century later, he did the same, only even faster. On the motorcycle, a Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX, an additional device has been fitted so that the motorcycle, a Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX, can be controlled on the throttle, with a stunt rider hanging behind it.

Jonny Davies' shoes used during the record attempt were and are not quite ordinary either. The soles are reinforced with plates of titanium, so that the shoes do not burn up and take the feet with them.

To secure the record, Jonny Davies had to drive with two feet on the tarmac. During the first attempt the motorcycle reached a speed of 250 km/h, during the second 257 km/h. However, the record was only achieved because the stunt rider also managed to crawl back over the seat to stop the motorcycle before the finish line.

After all, world records are only for one thing – to be broken. In China, a car brand has recently managed to cover 2,100 kilometers on the same tank of petrol in a hybrid car with a very small engine. Read more about it here .
