Apple has spent several years and billions of dollars developing an electric car. At the end of March, it was all dropped – and now there will be layoffs.
Apple decided in March to drop its car project. The American tech giant otherwise spent billions of dollars each year on the project.
Nevertheless, the company was overtaken internally, and now they have completely thrown in the towel. This means that more employees lose their jobs.
CNBC writes that.
The car project, which Apple called 'Titan', was shut down at the end of March. And by the end of May, the last employee is expected to be gone from the project that Apple has spent more than 10 years on.

According to CNBC, Apple spent almost a billion dollars equivalent to 6.8 billion kroner in the project every year. It is now money and development that has been completely written off.
Specifically, project 'Titan' involved 2,000 employees, and not all of them will be retained by Apple. Far from it, actually. Because 614 of them have been told that they must look for other work.
However, Apple is not the only company to fire because things are going badly on four wheels. At our latitudes, things are also bad. And that for the industry in general.
The gearbox manufacturer, for example, has to go through mass layoffs, because over 40 billion kroner must be found in savings over the next six years. Bankruptcies among entire car brands have also occurred.
And more may be on the way. At home, Fisker Inc. sells new cars absurdly cheap. On the other hand, the cars are without warranty due to the brand's economy. Read more about it here .
