It must have been forbidden to drive at normal motorway speed on the E45 Østjyske Motorvej for several years.
E45 East Jutland Motorway to be widened. In fact, work has already begun. But for the same reason, motorists must slow down.
This is stated by the Road Directorate in a press release .
Specifically, it will be prohibited to drive more than 80 kilometers per hour on a stretch north-west of Aarhus, because three motorway bridges must be widened so that an extra lane can be laid in each direction.
The stretch, where it is forbidden to drive more than 80 km/h, is 16 kilometers long and goes all the way past Aarhus.

– To ensure that the traffic flows as smoothly as possible, the Norwegian Road Administration lowers the speed limit on the entire stretch.
– And with the already existing road works under way, road users will soon have to drive a maximum of 80 kilometers per hour all the way past Aarhus, writes the Directorate of Roads.
The Roads Directorate expects that the speed reduction will be more or less permanent until 2027.
Motorists are therefore also wise to keep to the highest permitted speed. At least if they care about their choir card or maybe even make a living from it.
