Everyone should be like Simon George. The man has just under 482,000 kilometers – or 300,000 miles – in his Lamborghini Murcielago.
The Murcielago was the first Lamborghini that Audi really influenced. Simon George's copy already has just under 482,000 kilometers.
Incidentally, the mileage was crossed on the way back to England from the car's birthplace – Lamborghini's factory in Sant'Agata, Italy.
Simon and the Lamborghini we have actually heard about. It was in 2017, when the car 'only' had a short 417,000 kilometres. Even then, however, Simon used the car every day: 289 kilometers a day to and from work in all kinds of weather. It goes without saying that Simon has had the car from new.
The Lamborghini has also already had its trips off the road. Among other things, it collided with a tree in 2012. But it was rebuilt.

When we wrote about Simon and the Lamborghini last time, the plan was to hit the 300,000 miles already that same year. But it did not happen.
On the other hand, all kilometers are short with six manual gears and then three pedals. Nothing with sluggish and scrappy e-gear here. The 6.2-liter V12 engine was discontinued in the first Murcielagos Lamborghini built.
That meant 580 horsepower between 2001 and 2005. Simon's example is 20 years old and thus from 2004. In 2006, the displacement grew to 6.5 liters, and towards the end of the model's life there was a whopping 670 horsepower to play with.
Incidentally, the Murcielago was and is the last mass-produced street car with manual transmission that Lamborghini built. Hats off, Simon. We hope you continue for a long, long time!
PS : You don't need to be called Simon and own a Lamborghini to cover almost 500,000 kilometers in the same car.
Hansjörg has maps even further in his Tesla. However, the two gentlemen still have a long way to go to Irv Gordon, who managed to drive over 5 million kilometers in his Volvo P1800 before he died. Read more about it here .
