Silly mistakes can cost Danes in electric cars more than DKK 10,000

The tongue must be kept straight in the mouth. But there is seriously a lot of money to be made if you as an electric car owner think about it a bit, new mapping shows.

As with the number of electric cars, there are many charging solutions to choose from in today's Denmark. Some would even say too many.

In fact, there are so many that last year the Competition Council proposed to ban an otherwise hugely popular choice of charging among electric car owners. Read more about it here .

And now a new mapping, which BT is behind, shows that the proposal for the ban may not be quite as far-fetched as it may initially sound.

Danes in electric cars risk a serious economic blow to the market for charging solutions. BT's mapping shows that there is a difference of over DKK 10,000 between the most expensive and cheapest charging.

And that already in the first year with an electric car. Furthermore, the mapping shows that prices vary enormously, depending on whether the electric car owners own or rent their charging box at home.

Daniel Andersen from elbil.dk says to the newspaper that the market can be really difficult to understand and familiarize yourself with as a consumer.

In doing so, he aligns himself with the Competition Council, which last year just hit on a difficult-to-transparent market as the reason for the desire for a ban.

The fact that it can be difficult to choose charging does not exempt electric car owners from common sense. The same applies to the price of the electric car itself.

Because even though electric cars are currently falling in price, and some car brands are really feeling the consequences, it is intended that there should be a full tax on electric cars at home.

An increase in the tax should already have made the type of car more expensive. But it has been postponed. However, car owners are not completely free from tax increases. Neither this year nor next year. Read more about it here .
