They don't even manage to enter the top 20 of the best-selling car brands in this country. Nevertheless, Fiat is still the largest internally.
At home, things are going terribly for Fiat, to say the least. All of last year, just 1,464 new Fiat models were given Danish number plates.
This is shown by a settlement from De Danske Bilimportorer.
In comparison, Tesla, the Danes' favorite car brand, sold a whopping 22,333 cars in the same period.
Still, Fiat has something to cheer about. Although not in Denmark, so in general. For Fiat, it is actually the absolute best-selling Stellar brand with a growth of 12 percent in 2023.
The group states this in a press release .
Last year, the now 125-year-old car brand sold a whopping 1.35 million cars worldwide. This is far more than the sister brands in the group Peugeot/Citroën and Opel sold last year.
In comparison, Peugeot sold 1.1 million cars, while Opel, also called Vauxhall, had to make do with 670,000 cars.
Back at Fiat, it is especially the 13-year-old Panda that is driving sales. At least at home in Italy. But also in Algeria, where 78 percent of all new cars last year had the Fiat logo, the Tipo model is doing well.
