Psychic cloned cars worth millions, police say

Next week, a larger case begins at the Court in Helsingor, where six men stand trial for having cloned as many as 40 cars.

Six men from the Copenhagen west region and North Zealand probably risk large fines and long prison terms if they are convicted for what the police believe they have done.

That's what Sjællandske writes.

According to the media, the men are charged with a case of cloning 40 stolen cars from brands such as Porsche, Mercedes and Audi. The indictment against them alone takes up 100 pages.

Among the six defendants is a psychic in his 40s, who police believe helped the group clone the many cars that were fitted with fake sighting reports and license plates.

The police say that the case is the result of an extensive investigation by the National Unit for Special Crime – and that the case complex has been given the code word 'Dolly' along the way.

The prosecution has previously requested that the six men be punished with prison and fines in the millions, if a judge finds them guilty.

The case begins at the Court in Helsingor next week. A good 26 court days have been set aside for the case, which begins precisely on February 5.
