Police seize Lamborghini: "It's my wedding day"

A groom had to find another way to get to his own wedding. The police in England have seized the Lamborghini he was otherwise driving.

A Lamborghini Huracán Evo Spyder was recently impounded by police in Greater Manchester, UK after the driver was stopped for speeding.

The driver tried to avoid a ticket by claiming it was his wedding day, but this excuse did not sit well with the police.

This is what the police circle writes in an announcement about the seizure of "X" – the former Twitter.

The driver of the Lamborghini could not produce a valid insurance policy when he was stopped by the police.

He asked to be let off with a warning as it was supposedly his wedding day. But the police were in no mood to bend the traffic laws.

– When he was stopped, the driver could not produce a valid insurance policy. But asked to be released as it was his wedding day. We didn't have any confetti on hand, so we improvised and gave the groom-to-be six penalty points instead. The car was impounded, the police write.

It is worth noting that the car was impounded not because of the speeding offence, but because it was driving around on public roads without insurance. The police in England actually seize an awful lot of these kinds of cars. Read more about it here .

The incident is a reminder that it is important to have valid insurance when driving a car, regardless of whether it is your wedding day or not.

With their humorous post on X, the police in Greater Manchester have focused on the problem of uninsured drivers and sent a clear signal that they will not tolerate this kind of irresponsible traffic.
