Polestar 3 is the safest car for children ever

The Polestar 3 electric car sets a new standard in Euro NCAP crash testing, achieving the highest score ever for child safety with an impressive 93 percent.

The new electric car Polestar 3 has achieved a remarkable score in the latest Euro NCAP crash test. The car stands out especially when it comes to child safety in the cabin.

Here, the Polestar 3 sets a new record. It is the highest score ever measured for child protection in a car.

Euro Ncap writes this in a press release .

Euro NCAP is an independent organisation. They test the safety of new cars on the European market. Their testing programme is comprehensive. It covers the protection of adults, children, pedestrians and the car's safety systems.

In the latest round of testing, seven new car models were tested. All seven cars achieved the highest overall rating of five stars. This is evidence of a generally high level of safety among new cars.

However, the Polestar 3 stood out from the crowd. The car achieved the highest overall score. It performed particularly well in the adult and child safety categories.

For adult safety, the Polestar 3 scored 90 percent. But it did even better for safety for the little ones.

Polestar 3 impresses in safety tests

The most notable result, however, was for child safety, where the Polestar 3 achieved a whopping 93 percent. This is the highest score Euro NCAP has ever recorded in this category.

Euro NCAP itself highlights the Polestar 3's results.

– The Polestar 3's performance in the child safety test is astonishingly close to a perfect score, says the safety institute.

– It shows how a commitment to the safety of all passengers can pay off by providing exceptional protection in the event of an accident.

Euro NCAP recognizes Polestar's work. They believe the automaker is setting a new standard for safety, regardless of the age or size of the occupant.

The six other cars in the test also achieved five stars. However, they did not quite reach the Polestar 3's level in the specific test categories.

Other tested cars and China focus

The other models tested were BYD Sealion 7, Cupra Terramar, Geely EX5, Hongqi e-HS9 and Jaecoo 7 PHEV. Several of the cars tested come from Chinese car manufacturers.

Euro NCAP notes that many new Chinese brands are achieving good results. They often receive top marks in safety tests. This shows a positive development for the new players in the market.

However, the organization also expresses some concern. Secretary General Dr. Michiel van Ratingen states:

– Chinese brands are developing and releasing new car models at a furious pace, with many receiving the maximum five stars in Euro NCAP's potential manufacturer safety rating.

However, he also warns drivers.

– But if problems were not to be neglected during the test. (The manufacturers) want to maintain the safety standards that are common in Europe.

This suggests that there may be even very large variations in how seriously car brands take the safety of their cars.

Euro NCAP's tests are important for consumers. They provide a comparable basis for assessing the safety of cars.

It helps car buyers make informed choices in a complex market. The SUV market in particular is filled with many new models.

The Polestar 3 test results underline the car's focus on safety. The new record for child safety is a significant achievement.
