Peugeot's next electric car will have a square steering wheel

No French car show without French car brands. This year, Peugeot delivers perhaps the most futuristic at the entire Paris Motor Show.

A steering wheel is round. Unless you ask Peugeot. The French's latest concept is controlled with a square.

Yes, a square. The steering wheel of the Hypersquare concept, which Peugeot is showing these days in Paris, is square.

– The Hypersquare control is a new variant of what we have seen with Peugeot's i-Cockpit, but how futuristic it will ultimately be remains to be seen, says Stian Gihle, communications manager for Peugeot at Bertel O. Steen in Norway, to Motor .

However, the communications manager will not say too much about the concept. However, Gihle suggests that it shows the direction of future Peugeot models. Blue. the cabin will in future be divided much more into 'simple modules'.

– There are probably variants of this car which reveal that it will have a modular interior, much larger than previous models, but it is far too early to say anything about the details of this car, Gihle tells the media.

Incidentally, the Hypersquare has no B-pillar at all. It is now not so concept-like. Because there are and have been many coupés over the years with that detail. Also called frameless dore.
