People must be allowed to drive petrol cars, says Elon Musk

Elon Musk has nothing against people eating boffers and still driving around in petrol cars, he says in a new interview. They must be allowed to do that, let it.

It was not without certain technical problems that Tesla director Elon Musk and the Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, spoke live together on the social media X the other day.

In fact, the conversation between the two had to be interrupted. But something came out of the conversation. Among other things, Elon Musk was told that he has nothing against people in petrol and diesel cars.

– Of course, it is my point of view that over time we will change to a sustainable energy economy, because in the end you will be lobbying for oil and gas. It is not infinite, and there is some risk, the Tesla director said.

But it is not the same as that people neither tomorrow nor in a year will necessarily have to eat grass and be forced into electric cars, it came shortly afterwards.

– People can still get a bof, and they can still drive gas cars, and that's okay. I don't think we should vilify people for it, but I think we should generally lean towards sustainability. And I actually believe that solar energy will be the majority of the Earth's energy production in the future.

During the corona pandemic, Elon Musk was also not in favor of shutting down oil production. On the contrary, the world's richest advocated that production should be ramped up to keep Christmas going.

Musk also believes that he is being portrayed as something he is not. In any case, the director finds it difficult to recognize himself in the public image of him.

– People paint me as a right-winger. But I am a moderate Democrat who supported Obama. But now I see the direction this country is going and that's why I support you, he told Donald Trump.

Conversely, the two men could not stop praising each other either. And indeed Trump will. as it looks right now, would like to have Musk join a commission that will look at how the United States reduces public spending. Blue. because the presidential candidate believes that Musk is good at 'just firing people.
