Over 7,500 motorists have applied to buy the same Ford Mustang GTD. But the factory never builds that many cars. So maybe.
Ford has received more requests for a Mustang GTD than the brand wants to build. Many more.
Because even though the name is reminiscent of something you could find on an old European diesel car, motorists are apparently crazy about the new top model in the Mustang range.
This is what Ford writes in a press release .
The brand, which will start production in 2025 only to shut it down again in 2028, will only build between 300 to 600 Mustang GTDs per year during that time. This will therefore increase to 1,400 cars.

It harmonizes extremely poorly with the interest. Because according to the brand, more than 7,500 motorists have shown interest in buying a Mustang GTD.
Ford can also tell a little about the buyers who have already signed up. 20 percent come from the motorsport world, but only one in four applicants already owns a Mustang.
So what do they get in a new GTD? Yes, a GT3-inspired car with number plates and more than 800 horsepower from a 5.2-liter V8 engine. And that is reflected in the price. Ford wants more than 325,000 dollars, corresponding to 2.24 million kroner, for each and every car.
If just one copy of the Mustang GTD ever comes to Denmark, we'd probably do best not to speculate on the price with full registration tax at all. Read more about the car here .
