On Thursday, the iconic car logo will disappear from Denmark

Mercedes-Benz will disappear from Denmark as a car dealer when shops in Greater Copenhagen are taken over by Dutch Van Mossel on Thursday this week.

One of Denmark's oldest Mercedes dealers changes hands on Thursday this week, when Dutch Van Mossel takes over Greater Copenhagen's Mercedes-Benz CPH.

That's what Motor magazine writes.

As Boosted could tell back in January, the wealthy Dutch behind Van Mossel have bought as many as five Danish car dealers. All under Mercedes-Benz CPH.

The price was then secret, and now, one day after the official change, the price has not become public anymore. But back in January it was said that the Dutch would 'respect the conditions of the 330 employees' who have been included in the deal.

The same applies in other cases to a claims centre. But the takeover of the Danish Mercedes stores makes Van Mossel a company that sells cars for almost 1 billion euros every single year.

Since 1930, the Greater Copenhagen dealer chain has been owned directly by the factory in Stuttgart, but it all ends this week.

However, Mercedes has not only sold out in Denmark. Also at home in Germany as well as in England, the brand will dispose of its businesses.

Not having to be responsible for the sale of its own cars, however, is not the only thing Mercedes has plans for. From only wanting to bet on the electric car, the brand's Swedish top director has now turned 180 degrees. This means that Mercedes is spending 105 billion kroner on special petrol cars.
