There will be nothing like an ID.Buzz as a camper. There is no one who wants to buy one like that, believes Volkswagen.
Will there be something like an ID.Buzz as a camper? No, says Volkswagen now. Last year, it left the Germans running into problems with the development of the car.
And that it was the only thing that held the car back from rolling onto the roads. At the time, it was reported in several media that it was the weight of the already heavy electric car that gave the engineers the biggest headache.
But now it turns out that the top at Volkswagen has completely said no to the car. There are simply too few people who would bother to buy an ID.Buzz as a camper.
That's what Autocar writes.

In an interview with the media, Volkswagen's marketing manager Lars Krause confirms that they have indeed run into a number of challenges along the way with the development of ID.Buzz. Just as is the case with 'any other car'.
However, the challenges in development and production are not what holds an ID.Buzz camper – or California, as the Germans say – back.
– It has turned out that the need for electric campers is not there. At least not in our opinion, says Lars Krause to the media.
However, the marketing manager expects demand to increase over the years. And that Volkswagen is looking at whether there will be an idea in an electric camper around 2030.
Although Volkswagen is not currently building an ID.Buzz California, there has been room for a so-called 'performance' edition called the GTX.
However, the heavy car has to make do with 340 horsepower. Something that doesn't exactly turn the car into a rocket. Even with permanent four-wheel drive, the new ID.Buzz GTX takes 6.5 seconds to move from 0 to 100 km/h.
