A newer Volvo XC60, which is a plug-in hybrid, has exploded in a garage in Colorado, USA. Now the cause must be investigated.
A newer plug-in hybrid from the brand Volvo recently took a garage in the US state of Colorado to its death.
The car, a Volvo XC60, literally exploded while it was parked in the garage. Miraculously, no one was injured in the explosion.
Otherwise, the car only jumped into the air when firefighters had arrived at the scene to put out the fire that had started in the car.
ABC Denver7 writes that.

It is not the first time that a plug-in hybrid from Volvo leaves this earth with a bang. The same thing happened in the English city of Birmingham in April 2018.
According to the BBC, the car was connected to a charging box when it was engulfed in flames outside the owners' house. The fire didn't just cost the Volvo its life. More than DKK 26,000 worth of damage to the family's home also had to be repaired.
According to Volvo Cars, the car brand is working with the authorities in the USA to map out the cause of the new explosion. But the brand otherwise has no comment on the incident.
According to ABC Denver7, however, the owner of the car has stated that he is lucky to even be alive after the explosion. From the fire service, it is said that they were informed about the fire, which developed shortly after, at 06.08 local time.
The fact that Volvo may have problems with the technology in their plug-in hybrids does not mean, however, that hybrids and electric cars in general are death traps to drive around with.
On the contrary, repeated investigations show that the risk of fire is not greater in electric cars. At least not compared to petrol and diesel cars. Nevertheless, electric cars pose a significant risk. Read more about it here .
