Prices for the updated Model Y with extra long range start at DKK 384,990.
Tesla has just launched the long-awaited Model Y Long Range with rear-wheel drive – a car that sits between their cheapest Model Y and the four-wheel drive versions.
Designed to offer maximum range at an even more affordable price, this new variant sets a new standard for cost per kilometer in the electric SUV market.
With a single motor, energy-dense battery pack and standard heat pump, the Model Y Long Range achieves an impressive efficiency of 14.9 kWh/100 km. This means that it not only delivers impressive performance, but also offers customers significant savings in operating costs.
With an average price of DKK 2.10 per kWh at Tesla's Superchargers, an owner who only charges the car at Superchargers and drives 80 km a day to and from work can expect to spend approximately DKK 125 per week on electricity. With a WLTP range of 600 km, a single charge can handle more than a week of commuting.
Model Y Long Range with rear-wheel drive includes everything that made Model Y the world's and Denmark's best-selling car in 2023. It is produced at Tesla's Berlin-Brandenburg Gigafactory and comes with the highest level of premium materials, trailer hitch, convenience, safety and connection functions as standard.
Drivers can enjoy the advanced Tesla app, which allows for remote preheating or cooling of the car, access to streaming apps and a built-in Trip Planner that automatically shows where to stop to charge along the way.
With access to Tesla's Supercharger network, combined with home charging and the growing public charging infrastructure, Tesla offers a convenient charging experience anywhere.
This new variant of the Model Y is the result of Tesla's ongoing efforts to reduce costs and make electric cars more accessible to everyone. With more options than ever before, customers can now choose the Model Y that best fits their lifestyle and budget.
Trials are already available on the market, and deliveries will begin within the next few days in Denmark. For further information, you can visit Tesla's Design Studio.
Tesla is also expanding its presence in Denmark by opening seven new Pop-Up stores in shopping centers in Copenhagen, Frederiksberg, Herning, Slagelse, Kolding, Aarhus and Odense. This step marks a significant expansion of Tesla's presence in the country and confirms the company's commitment to serving Danish customers across the country.
