Motorists went berserk at the police after an accident in Aarhus

A minor traffic accident in Aarhus developed on Wednesday evening into several charges for violence against the police, when a number of motorists went berserk.

It was a banal traffic accident at an intersection in Aarhus, which East Jutland Police sent out a patrol on Wednesday evening. But it developed into violence against the one officer.

This is stated by the police circle in the police report .

One driver grabbed the officer, who had just arrested the other driver who was involved in the accident.

It also developed when a third man tried to free the arrested driver. Therefore, it ended with several arrests on the spot.

It is far from the first time that motorists have turned on the police. But perhaps surprisingly, there are often women among them when the police report violence in traffic.

For example, a woman put the entire set of teeth right into the arm of an officer in February last year. Whether it is accidental, we should not be able to say. But that too took place in Aarhus. Read more about it here.

Back at the intersection, it didn't just trigger charges of violence against the police. Such a violation of the law also entails a hefty fine.

According to the Penal Code, the consequence can also be increased to three years in prison. But the trouble between the motorists and the police is unlikely to go that far this time around.
