Media: Elon Musk has 'secret' talks with Putin

According to several sources that the Wall Street Journal claims to have spoken to, Tesla director Elon Musk has been in contact with Russian President Vladimir Putin for a long time.

Tesla and Elon Musk are again the subject of discussion, and this time there is no comment from Musk himself regarding new information about his connection to Vladimir Putin.

According to multiple sources The Wall Street Journal spoke with, Musk has been in contact with Putin since late 2022. This dialogue has reportedly covered topics such as geopolitics, business relationships and personal matters.

What the alleged conversations between the two men are and have been about is unclear. But both American, Russian and European sources mention that Musk and Putin have spoken regularly.

The alleged mother and conversations between the Tesla founder and the Russian president come in the wake of previous announcements from Musk, which have already caused a stir.

For example, the rich man has made headlines by rejecting a plan for a cheap Tesla model for 25,000 euros, although he has previously called the media's killings of the model nothing more than 'crap'. Read more about it here.

Musk has previously called stories that a so-called Model 2 must be dropped in order to focus on e.g. the self-proclaimed Cybercab too misleading. But he otherwise did not want to comment on the case.

The latest information about the contact with Putin has created debate in both the public and the media. No specific details about the content of the talks have been confirmed, but the sources involved emphasize that there should be recurring exchanges. Musk himself has, despite repeated requests, refrained from commenting on the matter publicly.

The situation has given rise to speculation about what role the Tesla founder plays in relation to international affairs and what influence, if any, he may have.
