Media: Car dealers scare motorists with slogans about electric cars

Several car dealers are putting their foot down when it comes to electric cars, writes newspaper. Several motorists say that they have been advised to avoid the electric car.

The American newspaper Washington Post was able to tell last week how a number of car dealers are trying to get customers to avoid the electric car. To the newspaper, a number of motorists describe how they have been advised by various car dealers to avoid the electric car. Other motorists have simply been advised to buy a car with an internal combustion engine instead. In other words, at least the American motorists find that the country's car dealers are not ready to sell electric cars. Several motorists tell the newspaper how they have been greeted with messages about electric cars at dealers. The current government in the USA has the goal that two-thirds of all new cars must run exclusively on electricity by 2032 at the latest. At the same time, not only the car brands in the USA but most of the world are spending billions in different currencies on the development of the electric car in particular. Even though the car brands are losing hideous sums of money selling electric cars. From Ford's latest quarterly accounts, it appears, among other things, that the brand loses DKK 254,000 on every electric car that leaves the factories around. At the end of September, the same Ford was able to say that the brand has put plans for electric cars for 25 billion Danish kroner on ice. Read more about it here .
