Magnussen receives the toughest penalty in Formula 1 – Haas does not help

Kevin Magnussen came up short in points in Sunday's Formula 1 race, but the Dane also receives a historically harsh penalty, which Haas will not appeal.

Haas has fired Kevin Magnussen, and now the team refuses to help the Dane, who otherwise secured the team's only point after the weekend's Formula 1 lob at the Monza track in Italy.

This is happening because Magnussen has, for a period of twelve months now, reduced himself to the highest permitted number of penalty points. Namely twelve.

It triggers one lob's quarantine. A form of quarantine that no Formula 1 choir has ever had. But already after the race in Italy, team boss Ayao Komatsu made it clear that there is no intention of appealing the penalty to K-Mag.

This is written by TV3 Sport .

– Kevin raced really well, now we are one point closer to RB (in the constructors' championship, ed.), and that is fantastic.

But from here on, there were few praises from the Japanese, who, however, used some of his speaking time in the interview to also look inward.

– To be completely honest, as a team we should never have put Kevin in that situation. We should have pitted him a lap earlier. At least we could have done that.

– We didn't have a good pit stop. I don't blame Kevin. As a team, we shouldn't have put him in that situation.

When Komatsu is asked if he wants to defend his now-fired Danish choir in an appeal to the FIA, which regulates the entire Formula 1 set of rules, the answer is a clear "no".

Who will drive Kevin Magnussen's racing car in Azerbaijan, however, the team manager will not reveal the details. However, most people already expect that Haas will let Oliver Bearman, who takes over one of the Haas seats permanently next year, have the chance.
