Lotus has smashed a car worth DKK 16 million on live TV

It was broadcast as live as anything can possibly be, when Lotus' test choirs smashed the 16 million kroner Evija X straight into the barrier at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The Lotus Evija X is an electric car. Preserved, but rather potent one of a kind. Also more potent than the brand's own test core could handle.

Immediately after the starting line at the Good Festival of Speed, which takes place these days, the car was smashed directly into the barrier. A barrier of straw.

To make matters worse, it was all broadcast live to thousands of viewers. Judging from the following pictures, it is the front of the car that has suffered the most damage.

And then, of course, the ego behind the wheel. That being said, it must be quite a sorry situation for Lotus. Evija X costs a whopping 16 million Danish kroner.

Who shorted the car remains unclear. On the participant list, the person is listed as X, and that is perhaps very good. It's too embarrassing.

Conversely, it is far from the first time that things have gone wrong at Goodwood. Many cars have received much more than dents on the impromptu racetrack, which is set up every year for the occasion.
