It has been 23 years since the last Lamborghini Diablo left the assembly line at the factory in Sant'Agata, Italy. Now the car is resurrected.
There is both good and bad news in the fact that the Lamborghini Diablo is being resurrected, 23 years after the factory stopped production.
It is Lamborghini's former technical director Maurizio Reggiani, who resigned last year, who is bringing the car back to life.
Specifically, it happens at the company Eccentrica, where they already restore and breathe new life into older Lamborghinis. The bad news is that Eccentrica will only modernize 19 Diablo models, because you stop again.
However, it is part of the story that the Diablo was the first Lamborghini capable of hitting 320 km/h when it was launched in 1990. So it is unlikely that the Eccentrica is after more top speed.

– It is a unique opportunity to work on a reminder of what happened 30 years ago. That is, with what we can do today.
– We want to create an exciting experience for a small number of customers who want to get, let me put it this way: as much Diablo as possible, says Reggiani in an interview with Bloomberg .
Details on how the 19 Diablos are to be upgraded are still scarce. But it is certain that the air conditioning will improve. The same applies to the power steering and headlights.
By the way, did you know that the facelift of the original Diablo used the headlights from a Nissan 300ZX? Lamborghini had to pay Nissan licensing fees when the taillights went out.
We also know that the new Diablo gets more horsepower. The 5.7-liter V12 engine gets exactly 550 horsepower and 601 Nm.
The original car had to make do with 492 horsepower in the SV model. However, the factory built a version with 603 horsepower in 1995. However, the upgrade was supplied as a kit and only to 28 customers.
