Larz Andersson purchased a Polestar 2 in November 2024. The car, which has not yet been delivered, has already lost 160,000 kroner in value.
Polestar in Sweden reduced the prices of a number of models shortly before Christmas. One of those who is hurt is Larz Andersson.
He tells Carup that he has lost 160,000 Swedish kronor just waiting for the car he bought in November. That is, because Polestar lowered the price and started delivering cars with more extra equipment to keep sales up.
According to Polestar, the long delivery time for the car is because the car brand does not yet have the license plates for it. But the truth is a little different.
– The license plates were produced on November 20th and sent with Postnord. So they should have arrived at Volvo Cars by November 26th at the latest, if they haven't been lost on the road.
– But then they should have already returned to the Swedish Transport Agency in the first week of December, Larz Andersson tells the media .
Now it turns out that Polestar did not collect the license plates from Postnord at all. Not even though the license plates actually arrived at the correct delivery location.
Polestar, however, is not keen to address this. Instead, the Chinese brand defends itself by saying that there are several steps a new car must go through before delivery, even if it has actually arrived at the place where it is to be delivered.
In addition to delivery issues and delays, Polestar is also having problems with the cars themselves. Boosted has received emails from several drivers who say their cars from the brand are riddled with faults.
Even used cars are running around with software errors that are so annoying to drivers. But new cars are also affected by many errors.
