Lamborghini's V10 engine is on its way out. The replacement – a V8 – lacks two cylinders but instead takes more revolutions.
When we hit August, it's over. So with Lamborghini and V10 engines.
The replacement is a 4-liter V8 engine that revs to 10,000 rpm, produces 800 horsepower and 730 newton meters.
Lamborghini itself says that the engine is not the same as a large number of other VAG cars, including the brand itself, use. For Lamborghini, in the SUV Urus.
Rather, the engine is said to be a completely new unit developed specifically for Lamborghini. With a flat crank, we can also expect a furious, almost rasping sound when we once get the chance to hear the engine in action.

Now, it is enough to mention that the engine has 800 horsepower. But that in itself is what the engine with its two turbos can take care of. The hybrid part is omitted. So how many horsepower the new baby Lambo has in store will probably remain a secret for a little while longer.
But we are already well past the V10 engine's capabilities. The last Lamborghini Huracan, called the Super Trofeo Jota, has 640 horsepower and 850 Nm.
According to Autocar, the single electric motor that Lamborghini mounts on the rear axle should be good for 150 horsepower and 300 Nm. However, other media claim that Lamborghini, like on the larger sister Revuelto, also mounts electric motors on the front axle.
But if Autocar's words are to be taken at face value, the new baby in Lamborghini's model range has 913 horsepower right from the start. Uh, it could be good!
